Materials

Arnold reception desks are built using a wide variety of materials. The table below includes ARD's standard wood finishes, stone types, standard laminates and other materials,

 

Standard wood veneers

Cherry, Maple, Oak, Walnut and Mahogany.
Medium Figured Anigre is available at a small upcharge. Exotic veneers like quartered Cherry, Bird's Eye Maple and Crotch Mahogany are used on some models.
Other species are available on special request.

 

Stone

for transaction counters or worksurfaces are available in a number of standard marbles, limestones, and granites.
Call factory for special pricing if the stone you want is not shown.

 

High Pressure Laminate

are a good choice for
worksurfaces and counters in high traffic areas. Typically are same price as wood. Include any standard matte laminate from Formica, Nevamar, or Wilsonart.

Metal laminate  

Metal

is used in several ARD styles, and come in 2 standard finishes, satin aluminum and brushed stainess
steel. Solid metal is used on the stand-offs under glass counters, and legs, while pure metal laminate is used as decorative banding and toe kicks.

Glass
is used on several ARD series as counter material. It comes in clear or frosted and has a polished edge. The glass is 3/4" thick. The metal stand-offs are typically glued to the underside of the glass counter.

Corian

Solid surfacing materials like Corian are available as durable and attractive worksurfaces and counters

ARD uses a number of other materials in its reception and lobby desks, including leather, acrylics, woven metal, etc.

 

Tackboard Fabrics

Reception desks can be ordered with optional fabric tackboard under the counter. Standard ARD fabrics Grey Mix #238, Wheat #130 and Black #408 from Guilford of Maine FR701-2100 Series. Customers can also provide their own fabric. ARD will provide yardage required.
